Conveniently located on the route from a lobster meal in Peggy's Cove to the picturesque world heritage site of Lunenburg, Hubbards was a lovely stopping place for a short walk along the cove to reminisce about a series that brought this beautiful part of the world to my attention. In other words: it was always nice to see that the building was still there after all these years.
On my recent trip, however, I was shocked to find an empty space where the boatyard used to be. I found out that it has been demolished already in December 2009. Nova Scotia lost a significant landmark.
